Common questions

What is Run Fly?

The Video Engine for Radix — a promotional video studio. Upload footage (including AI), brand it, export 9:16 / 1:1 / 16:9 social cuts, and pay for each render with $RUNFLY.

What does the output look like?

One master becomes the social cuts you select — 16:9 with overlays, 1:1, and/or 9:16. Watch a real original next to those three on the Example page.

How do I create a video?

Connect your Radix Wallet (top-right), set up the cut in Studio, press Create video, approve the $RUNFLY payment in your mobile wallet, wait for on-chain confirmation, then let the job process. Download when it’s done. Full walkthrough on the Guide page.

When do I pay?

When you press Create video. That opens the pay modal with the quoted $RUNFLY amount. Payment is confirmed on Radix before the render starts — no silent charge later. If the wallet pays but the site errors, do not pay again — use Recover payment with the transaction id from Radix Wallet.

Do I need the Radix Wallet app?

Yes. Connect in the browser, then approve the transaction on your phone (or desktop wallet flow). That’s how Radix Connector works.

What if I don’t have $RUNFLY?

Buy on Ociswap, Astrolescent, or DefiPlaza (see Buy), then return to Studio. You’ll also need a little XRD for network fees.

Is $RUNFLY an investment product?

No. In Studio, $RUNFLY pays for GPU / render utility. Token trading elsewhere is separate — we’re not giving financial advice.

Can I use AI-generated footage?

Yes. Bring AI clips, avatars, or synthetic B-roll — brand them into campaign-ready social packs.

How big can my clip be?

Upload up to 3 GB or 60:00. The billed render is the trim window (max 5:00) or Auto clips from that window. If Create video errors after you already paid, do not pay again — Recover payment with the Radix tx id, then tap Create video again.

I paid and it said the clip was too large. Did I lose the $RUNFLY?

No. That message was a website-host cap, not the 3 GB / 60:00 product limit. The payment receipt is unused until the render actually starts. Use Already paid? / Recover payment with the same wallet and tx id, then Create video again. Do not send a second transfer.

What formats do I get?

Pick only what you need: 9:16, 1:1 and/or 16:9. Each extra format adds to the quote — don’t render three layouts if you only post vertical.

How do I keep the cost down?

Select fewer formats, use a shorter trim, and draft at 360p/720p when testing. You pay for GPU time on the layouts you actually render.

What if I press Create video without connecting?

Studio opens Radix Connect first. Approve the wallet link, then Create video continues to the pay step and the render starts after payment confirms.

Why is there a caption review step?

So you can fix spelling on spoken lines before final packaging. Don’t add or delete lines — just correct the words, then submit.

How long are my finished videos kept?

Cloud copies of finished renders are kept for about 7 days, then the media is purged to free disk. Job history may still show in Studio, but download and preview stop working after purge. Download your cuts as soon as they’re done and keep your own archive — we are not a long-term video host. You can also Delete a job from History (with your wallet connected) to remove it from cloud storage sooner.

Is Run Fly the same as CapCut / OpusClip / Premiere?

No. Those are editors or clippers. Run Fly is promotional packaging with a Radix-native pay path. See Compare for honest positioning.

What powers the Video Engine?

Renders run on Vyrol (https://vyrol.io) — the video platform under the hood. Run Fly is the Radix-native front: brand packs, $RUNFLY pay, and Pat.

Is this an official Radix Foundation product?

No. Independent project in the Radix ecosystem — meme → community → token → Video Engine.

Where’s Pat in all this?

Mascot and narrative. The product is serious; management remains a fly. He also has a game — Pat the Fly — at /play. Official $RUNFLY, for fun. Climbing doesn’t spend tokens.

Can I play while my video is rendering?

Yes. Open Play in another tab. The render keeps going on the server. The climb is free, local scores only, and closing it does not cancel your job.
